certain Levels. By expanding your house, you will be able to have more Pets and plants at a time.
Expanding can also involve expanding a particular room to hold two more animals inside of it for the cost of 20 bucks. Any rooms including the "More houses" and "Aquatic houses" rooms have the same fee of 20 bucks to expand. (An Exception is the Nursery, which can add an additional 4 more baby baskets once expanded.) The same fee applies if you want to further upgrade a room to hold another two animals inside of it after the initial upgrade.
How Expanding Via More Rooms Work[]

Every time the player levels up in fives a new room/yard will be unlocked for the player to purchase for 500 coins. The next available room/yard to be opened will show the lock with an orange star circling behind it.
You can however unlock a room/yard before you hit that certain level required for bucks. upon clicking which room/yard you want a "Sorry!" tab will appear telling you that you need to reach "level x" before adding this room/yard.It will then show how many bucks is needed in order to buy that room/yard instantly.
How Expanding Inside Rooms Work[]
Expanding inside rooms is needed when a room/yard is filled to the maximum number of eight pets and the player chooses more space for two additional pets to live inside said room/yard. Or to fit more furniture inside the room.
This can be done by clicking the expand icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen. Here a tab will pop up labelled "Expand your room!" The cost is 20 bucks to expand a room or yard and it stays 20 bucks no matter what the pet count is inside that room. Each expansion allows the room to hold 2 more pets than it did before, 2 more plants than it did before and adds way more space for furniture to be added and placed. An Exception being the Nursery, in which can add an additional 4 more baby baskets once expanded.
Expansion in Other Houses and "Special" Rooms[]
Expansion is the same in other houses (Candyland, Resort, Roman, Space, Aquatic and Arctic) and special rooms (Nursery, Trophy Room and Attic) and all follow the same rules and payment as expanding inside normal rooms work. They all cost 20 bucks for an additional 2 pets and plants and a lot more space for furniture. (Excluding the Attics which will remain a 0/0 pet and plant policy, just adding more room for furniture.)
